Helping people managers use design thinking

and trust-based leadership

to build and develop healthy teams

HERE'S THE THING

I'm not for everybody, but I might be right for you. My approach is unconventional, and I do things this way because...

TRUST IS ESSENTIAL FOR TEAMS

Trust and psychological safety are the most important elements of your team culture. Period. If you want a healthy team culture, this is where you start. You have to have a solid foundation before you can build.

EVERY LEADER IS DIFFERENT

I coach leaders to be adaptively authentic— able to be true to your values and the core of who you are while also adapting to the individuals on their teams and circumstances— and use data to make informed decisions.

WE AREN'T ALL PLAYING
BY THE SAME RULES

Our experiences navigating power and politics at work are different depending on various aspects of our identities (e.g., race, gender, disability, etc.). I'm interested in having real conversations about what it means for you as well as how it affects your direct reports.

LEADERSHIP COACHING
SHOULD BE FOR EVERYONE

Traditionally, leadership coaching has been an exclusive benefit for executives and senior leaders while everyone else was stuck with ineffective management training (if they got anything at all). I'm interested in changing that.

When I started working with Alaina, I was new to my organization and in a role that did not challenge me professionally. She opened my eyes to the fact that leadership is needed at every level of an organization, what it looks like to learn from people at all levels of the hierarchy, and how to recognize and cultivate leadership in others. From the very first day of working with Alaina, she encouraged me to show up for myself. I did, and I was offered a promotion not long after.

Hi! I'm Alaina, your new coach. Don't let the youthful face fool you, I've built teams from the ground up and transformed toxic teams that I inherited. I also spent years as a consultant helping executives and people operations departments develop and implement strategies to improve their organizational cultures.
